Before the .11 update I had an electric motor using the new "soundConfig" section which seemed to work correctly, now it crashes with a fatal .lua exception. Having an empty "soundConfig" fixes the exception but also removes any sound. I checked the "stock" electric motors (only in the roller and spinner?) and they have an empty "soundConfig" anyway so I'm not entirely sure if there's something wrong with mine or not, just it doesn't work any more.
